SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 18, 2007--NextWave Wireless Inc.
(NASDAQ: WAVE), a global provider of mobile broadband and wireless
multimedia products and technologies to enable Wireless 2.0, the next
generation of mobile communications, today announced that Inquam
Broadband GmbH, a majority-owned NextWave subsidiary, has signed a
definitive agreement to acquire a 65% controlling interest in WiMAX
Telecom AG.
Based in Zurich, Switzerland, WiMAX Telecom AG has obtained
nationwide wireless broadband spectrum concessions in Austria and
Slovakia, and a major spectrum concession in Croatia. The spectrum
concessions reside in the 3.5 GHz frequency band and cover
approximately 16.8 million POPs. The Austrian spectrum concession
authorizes service providers to offer full mobility services. It is
anticipated that regulators in Slovakia and Croatia will provide
similar authorization in the future.

WiMAX Telecom operates WiMAX networks in Austria and Slovakia and
